Come celebrate the publication of our first print magazine, The Ten-Year REFRACT Anthology, which celebrates the very best new nonfiction writing by Baruch students throughout the magazine’s ten-year history!
Join the editors over sparkling cider and listen to two of the published writers read from their piece in the anthology. Alyson Brown will read “Sweet Elixir of Life” and Cherry Leung Huiying will read “We Laugh at Our Clumsy Hands.” REFRACT Business Manager Camilo Mason will be the event’s emcee.

Join us for a conversation and workshop on the art of translation with Harman Creative Writing Fellow, translator for Tobias Schiff’s Return to the Place I Never Left, and Baruch alumnus Dani James. The event is co-sponsored by the Harman Program. Daphne Palasi Andreades, author of Brown Girls and the Spring 2024 Harman Writer-in-Residence, will introduce James.
